Environmentalists Sue Bush Administration

If you can't get the government to do something you want, what should you do? Sue, of course.

Greenpeace, the Center for Biological Diversity, and Friends of the Earth have sued the Bush administration alleging that it has failed to produce a report required by law on global warming's impact.

As part of the Global Change Research Act of 1990, the government is required to complete such a report every four years and failed to produce one in 2004.

Without the report, decision makers and the public "are without one of the most important tools to grapple with this complex, potentially overwhelming and yet all important issue," the complaint said.

Translation: We have nothing to campaign for money on and scare people to death about without this report which we can twist.

The assessment is the "first step in crafting solutions to the devastating consequences of climate change if we don't act now," said Julie Teel, an attorney for the plaintiffs.

Let me get this straight. You haven't had the report for two years but now it's going to cause catastrophic consequences if you don't have the report immediately? Sounds like more of the usual global warming hysteria.
