So, Obama wants to spend billions to "stimulate" the economy (read: pay off constituencies), expand government, and march us towards socialized medicine.
Those are some pretty big issues for Republicans to oppose and present better arguments than Democrats. So, what is the Republican National Committee planning to do about it?
Behave childishly.
A member of the Republican National Committee told me Tuesday that when the RNC meets in an extraordinary special session next week, it will approve a resolution rebranding Democrats as the “Democrat Socialist Party.”

This is exactly the sort of publicity stunt we don't need right now. The RNC needs to use its time to construct thoughtful policy proposals to counter the spin of the Dems. This sort of immaturity isn't going to persuade anyone to support Republicans.
