Dems use the same lies about what the "stimulus" bill is about on This Week, all without getting called on it.
I guess money for the National Endowment for the Arts, government cars, and university building projects are great stimulus for the economy, just like contraceptives were before that embarrassment was laid out for the world to see.
Let's face it. This bill isn't about stimulating the economy. It's about stimulating every Democrat constituency that's been impotent for the last 20 years. Time to give them all a great big dose of Viagra and call the doctor when their erection doesn't go down after four hours.
I'll give Barney this much. I like the idea of the government fixing roads and bridges, too, because that is, in fact, something government should be doing. But that spending is only $30 billion--less than 5%--of this pork package. So why don't the Democrats just pull out infrastructure spending from the bill and I'll bet some Republicans would vote for that.
