Warming Up That Veto Pen

I've said since November that I was absolutely delighted to see Democrats behaving like Democrats, which means going so far to the left that they offend the vast majority of Americans. Well, get ready, everybody, because the Democrats have decided that the elections were about unionizing airport security workers and reinstating certain rights for terrorism suspects. Gee, I dunno, but I doubt seriously that most Americans think terrorists should be given such comfort measures.

Backed by a unified party and fresh from a slew of legislative victories, Democratic leaders appear to believe there is hardly any territory they cannot stray onto, a development that has Republican political operatives gleeful and some Democrats worried. Rep. Tom Cole (Okla.), chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, warned of a "political price" at the polls: "If they let their constituents and their ideology drive them past the point where the American people are comfortable, they will find how quickly the voters will react."

I'm looking forward to this freak fest. Dems think their win in November has given them a mandate for literally anything and everything. It's funny how when Republicans won the last two presidential elections plus Congress that Dems didn't see a mandate anywhere on the horizon. But, as I always say, you can trust Democrats to be Democrats (in other words, hypocrites).
