President Rush Limbaugh

The reviews of the new Fox satire news show, The Half Hour News Hour, have been universally bad ( so bad that the reviews are funny).

I've seen one of the ad clips for the show and wasn't impressed. I'm not a big comedy person, so I usually assume the problem is me, but when the reviews from people who want to like a show are bad, I assume the show is, as well.

This video of Rush Limbaugh as president is mildly amusing. I did actually chuckle at one of the jokes (that's impressive for me).

I'm sad that this show isn't funnier, especially since it will only give fodder to the "conservatives aren't funny" crowd.

  1. I thought the show's clip was hilarious! The people who are attacking the show, before it even airs, are usually the people who aren't necessarily the show's intended audience.

I believe people are used to watching liberals, so when a conservative comes around, the person is either labeled as not funny or racist. A politically incorrect comedy site called ourcountry.com is trying to do same thing. You should probably check them out too.

  2. As I said, I don't consider myself the best judge of comedy because it takes a lot to make me laugh. I did smile at much of Rush's part and I did actually laugh at Ann Coulter.

I'm planning on watching the show to see what it is about. You're right that a lot of people aren't giving it a chance. I'm willing to give it a chance, but I'm just pained it seems to be getting such bad reviews before it even airs.
